Music @ PUMC
The Chancel Choir of PUMC is an enthusiastic group of singers who provide choral music every Sunday morning for our 9:00am Worship Service. Led by our Director, Margaret-Mary Owens, we unite our voices to glorify God through song each week.
The chancel choir leads the congregation hymn singing and sings other choral anthems during service. Throughout the year, the Chancel choir presents special worship music for Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter.
After an 18 month hiatus due to COVID-19, our choir is once again singing on Sundays as of October 2021! Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings, from 7:30-9:00 PM in the Parlor & at 8:15am on Sundays before Worship.
We have a place for you in the choir, no matter your musical ability, so stop by a rehearsal!
The Praise Band leads the congregation in musical worship at our 10:45 service in our Fellowship Hall.
Featuring guitarists, drums, vocalists and other instruments, we enjoy sharing our love of Christ through lively and upbeat music.
Do you sing or play an instrument and enjoy contemporary Christian music? If so, we would love to have you in the Praise Band!
Our hand bell choir was founded in 1982 & over the years we have had choirs of adults, children & teens!
Our bell choir performs music on a set of handheld bells, making a joyful noise for the Lord! It is open to all ages and skill levels. If you’d like to try your hand at ringing, join us for rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in the Parlor.
Our pipe organ was built by Parsons Pipe Organ Builders in Canandaigua, NY and was installed in the fall of 1990.
Our organist, Margaret-Mary Owens, plays during our 9:00am Sunday Worship service and other special events.
